Festa, What ? Festa Bella Machina... yep.. that's Italian but this sport car show organized by the South Florida Alfa Romeo Club is now open to other marques and nationalities and turned out to be a fun event. Held at TY Park, in Ft Lauderdale, some 70 cars showed up representing all the major sports car marques from Europe and America : from Alfa to Jaguars, including Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati, BMW and more. TY Park was a great location with plenty of room, a big picnic pavillion where a catered BBq lunch was served. A number of SFJC members made the trip with E-types and XKs, although one well known member of our club deserted to the other side by bringing a 1962 Maserati 3500 ... But since he won Best of Show, we can understand that he left his Jaguars at home, congratulations Russel. Judging was by popular vote, with cars split in various classes, by marque or nationality; the British class was won by Bob Scibelli and his XK120.
